card use overseas

Has anyone used the card in the USA. If so what response did it get?

I used my veterans card whilst in a Florida mall that was advertising discounts for members of the military and acquired a 15% discount on a pair of shoes.

It is worth asking if the shops that advertise military discounts also give a discount to UK veterans.

Hi, was fascinated to hear you could use the card in the states,I'll give it a whirl when I go there later in the year.Problem I find is, it is nearly useless in this country! looking at the list of discounts
available,left me wondering who on earth compiled the list and what sort of planet are they on?
the only one I am likely to use is ASDA and I have to purchase vouchers for that!!Where are the Argos,Wilkinsons,John Lewis.primark,Morrisons.that the rest of the world uses? Bonkers thats what I call it

I am in the USA on holiday and Hired a 8 Seat car from Alamo, the saving using my Vet card was 300 USD on a 16 day hire. I hired the Car from Alamo at Orlando international Airport. I have also used the card in some shops and to get cheap entry to baseball games.
